Wealth Affirmation #2: “I Am a Time-Rich Wealth Builder” Stay-at-Home Parent Entrepreneur [Building Wealth While Homeschooling Without Sacrificing Family Time]

Are you a work from home homeschool parent who believes you have to choose between building wealth and being present for your children?

In this episode, Crystal and Anthony Obey introduce the second affirmation in their Wealth Affirmation Series: "I Am a Time-Rich Wealth Builder" — a powerful mindset tool designed to help homeschooling families eliminate the false choice between financial success and family presence.

Discover why your commitment to homeschooling isn't holding you back financially — it's actually the foundation for modeling intentional wealth-building to your children.

Crystal and Anthony share a remarkable conversation between their own children that reveals the power of this affirmation in action: their daughter dreaming of owning a dance studio while raising a family, and their son naturally strategizing how to build both business success and be present as a parent.

These weren't abstract concepts — they were real beliefs formed from watching their parents build wealth while homeschooling.

Learn the complete Time-Rich Wealth Builder Affirmation and discover how your children are learning more about success from watching you create income with integrity than they ever could from any textbook.

🎧 Listen to discover how to become more financially abundant while remaining the hands-on parent you choose to be.

Speaker:

Stop believing the lie that you

have to choose between being

2

:

rich in time or rich in money.

3

:

Today's affirmation will show you how

to build wealth because you prioritize

4

:

time with your kids, not in spite of it.

5

:

A fast growing number of parents are

starting their homeschooling journey while

6

:

others have been homeschooling for years.

7

:

All of these parents are asking one big

question, how can I afford to homeschool?

8

:

We are here to answer that

important question once and for all.

9

:

Hi, I'm Crystal Obby.

10

:

And I'm Anthony Obby.

11

:

We've been homeschooling our five

kids for 13 years and we funded it.

12

:

Through our online consulting business

that we've been running for over 17

13

:

years now, we're combining Crystal's

financial coaching expertise with my

14

:

digital marketing background where I help

entrepreneurs launch and sell online.

15

:

We're here to help fellow homeschooling

parents self-fund their homeschool

16

:

journey and create lifestyle businesses.

17

:

For financial freedom without a nine to

five job, are you ready to start living

18

:

life on your own terms and make your

homeschooling experience a lot more fun?

19

:

Well then sit back, crank up

the volume, and enjoy this

20

:

episode of Homeschool Money.

21

:

Hello guys.

22

:

I'm so happy to be with

you on the show today.

23

:

I'm Anthony Oby.

24

:

I'm Crystal Oby.

25

:

Our affirmation for today is I

am a time rich wealth builder.

26

:

I'm gonna read it to

you so that you have it.

27

:

Today's affirmation is I am

a time rich wealth builder.

28

:

It goes.

29

:

I create wealth while being

present for my children.

30

:

My income grows as my children

grow, and I model financial success

31

:

and intentional living every day.

32

:

I become more financially

abundant while remaining the

33

:

hands-on parent I choose to be.

34

:

This affirmation is powerful because

it positions your children as witnesses

35

:

to your success, not casualties of it.

36

:

When you model that wealth and presence

can coexist, you teach your children

37

:

that they never have to choose between

financial success and family values.

38

:

They can have both.

39

:

Okay, let's repeat that affirmation.

40

:

I create wealth while being

present for my children.

41

:

My income grows as my children

grow, and I model financial success

42

:

and intentional living every day.

43

:

I become more financially

abundant while remaining the

44

:

hands-on parent I choose to be.

45

:

As we were preparing for this affirmation,

we were discussing the story of the

46

:

time where our son and our daughter

were having one of their conversations,

47

:

probably playing with some Legos

and drawing some pictures and just,

48

:

you know how they like to hang out.

49

:

Yeah.

50

:

And our daughter, who is an artist, loves

to dance, loves to sing, loves to create,

51

:

and she was talking about how when she

grows up, she wants to have her own.

52

:

Dance studio and she wants to teach

people how to dance and she just

53

:

wants to be able to have time to

dance and also do all her art.

54

:

And it was so incredible because I

heard my son say, yes, you can do that,

55

:

but make sure that you do some online

classes so that you can make sure to have

56

:

time to be able to be at home and nurse

your babies and just be with your kids.

57

:

And you know how it is when

you're watching kids have

58

:

like adult conversations.

59

:

Yeah.

60

:

And they're just so like,

matter of fact, yeah.

61

:

And he's like, he, he did not have

a problem at all with her talking

62

:

about owning her own business at the

same time having her own children.

63

:

It was just like such a reality.

64

:

He didn't say, oh, how are you

gonna do this at the same time?

65

:

And how, you know, he was just like.

66

:

This is how it can work.

67

:

Yes, you can be at home with your kids

and you can be a great mother, and you can

68

:

be a great teacher and make all the money

you wanna make, and you can still dance

69

:

yourself, but this is how it can work.

70

:

And I was like, you know what?

71

:

That was one of them moments.

72

:

I was like, you know what?

73

:

We're, we're doing okay.

74

:

We're doing okay.

75

:

Yeah.

76

:

It's working.

77

:

It is working.

78

:

Yeah.

79

:

Because he just, it was such

a clean conversation and she

80

:

was like, oh yeah, of course.

81

:

You know?

82

:

Right, right.

83

:

Of course.

84

:

Right.

85

:

And just the.

86

:

The ebb and flow of knowing that,

you know, on some days she, she

87

:

can't have her own dance studio and

be there and be it with the kids.

88

:

She's gonna have to have help.

89

:

She's gonna have to hire other dancers.

90

:

She's gonna have to have a, a manager.

91

:

I mean, she's gonna have to be a

business woman in order to also be

92

:

the mother that she wants to be.

93

:

Yeah.

94

:

And to be the mother that she wants to be.

95

:

She needs to know what she likes to do.

96

:

Yeah.

97

:

And how she likes to do it because she

was very clear that she wants to still

98

:

be able to dance when she wants to.

99

:

And help other people in person,

like just the feeling you get when

100

:

you're dancing with other people.

101

:

But she knew that teaching would be

an unlock for her to be able to keep

102

:

a certain level of income as well.

103

:

So just that comprehensive view

of her future, how she can do

104

:

what she likes, but make it work.

105

:

Not in a way that is

like just so idealistic.

106

:

Yeah, it's very strategic.

107

:

Yeah.

108

:

Our son, how he was

able to see it himself.

109

:

I was like, oh man, they're, they're

gonna be okay and we're doing okay.

110

:

And the world is right right now.

111

:

That was really good.

112

117

They'll be glad you did.

118

:

Now, back to the show.

119

:

Okay.

120

:

Welcome back guys.

121

:

I'm going to repeat the affirmation.

122

:

I create wealth while being

present for my children.

123

:

My income grows as my children

grow, and I model financial success

124

:

and intentional living every day.

125

:

I become more financially

abundant while remaining the

126

:

hands-on parent I choose to be.

127

:

Many parents resist this because

they fear that pursuing wealth

128

:

will make them absent or selfish.

129

:

There's often guilt around wanting

more money when you already have

130

:

the privilege of homeschooling.

131

:

This guilt keeps you playing small when

your children need to see you playing big.

132

:

And I think that's really interesting.

133

:

When PE we talk about the privilege

of homeschooling, many people will

134

:

say, oh, you get to homeschool.

135

:

What a privilege.

136

:

Well, the privilege.

137

:

Is actually an intentional

decision because everyone can have

138

:

the opportunity to homeschool.

139

:

They just may have to homeschool

in the way that they can.

140

:

And so it just looks

different for everyone.

141

:

And so if it homeschooling is the

opportunity that you wanna take.

142

:

Then you're just gonna have to

look at your own life and see what

143

:

do we need to make work, right?

144

:

And so a lot of people will think,

oh, it just falls into place easily.

145

:

But everything that we teach here

on this show is all about being

146

:

intentional and all about finding

the resources that are necessary for

147

:

the seasonal life that you're in.

148

:

It's gonna look different for someone

who's working from home in a remote job.

149

:

That is homeschooling than it is

for someone who's running a company.

150

:

And there are some moms that listen to our

show, where their husbands work remote.

151

:

In a job and they may have a side

business that's a, a business that they

152

:

have a passion for that's not too big,

but it does enough for their family

153

:

to let them be able to stay home.

154

:

And then we have some people

that they're running a business

155

:

together as a couple or, you know.

156

:

There's just lots of opportunities

and, and ways that you can be

157

:

working from home and homeschooling.

158

:

Some of our listeners travel and

they are on the road homeschooling.

159

:

Yeah, and so then they're international.

160

:

Yeah.

161

:

Everyone's not just in one

location, and so the privilege

162

:

of homeschooling is not just.

163

:

It just fell into their lap.

164

:

The families that listen to our

show, they assess what are our family

165

:

values, what's important to us, and

what's important to us right now.

166

:

Because even traveling

is a different priority.

167

:

During different seasons, whenever,

you know, we were pregnant and had.

168

:

I had these different health issues.

169

:

We couldn't get around

as much as we wanted to.

170

:

We had to stay close to Dallas because we

needed to be close to my, my medical team.

171

:

And so we couldn't be all, you know, globe

trodden and world travelers and everything

172

:

because we needed to protect my life.

173

:

Yeah.

174

:

And so.

175

:

Some people are able to travel

and they have the older teenagers.

176

:

And so now that our kids are getting

older, we're able to get out more.

177

:

And so it's all about the values that you

want to focus on and the intentionality

178

:

that you want to have that makes all

the difference of how your life is.

179

:

And so your kids need to see that

you are going after the things that

180

:

you want in life, and you're doing

it in a way that is strategic and.

181

:

You are able to have a fulfilling life

while you're enjoying homeschooling them.

182

:

You're not sacrificing everything

to be able to homeschool them, and

183

:

you're also not limiting yourself

financially in order to homeschool them.

184

:

If you listen to this show, you'll

find lots of resources on how to

185

:

actually increase your income while

having more time to be able to

186

:

enjoy the opportunity to homeschool.

187

:

That's right.

188

:

So let's repeat the affirmation again.

189

:

I create wealth while being

present for my children.

190

:

My income grows as my children

grow, and I model financial

191

:

success and intentional living.

192

:

Every day.

193

:

I become more financially

abundant while remaining the

194

:

hands-on parent I choose to be.

195

:

Listen guys, your children are

learning more from watching you build

196

:

wealth with integrity than they ever

could from a textbook about success.

197

:

Every dollar you create while

honoring your family values is a

198

:

lesson in possibility impossibility.

199

:

I hope that you saw that and caught

that in the story that Crystal shared

200

:

earlier about the conversation between.

201

:

Our our girl and our oldest girl.

202

:

And our oldest boy, you're not just

homeschooling them, you're modeling,

203

:

you're showing them what's possible.
